![]() The Gigante Hoplites from Mekone are Size 4 and Formation Fighter 2. Since Triarii are normally Size 2, that means you can fit four of them in a square - useful, but not as good as just having better stats. This means that up to 8 Size points of Triarii can fit in a single square. (Units without Formation Fighter count as having 0 for this purpose.) There is a separate maximum of no more than 6 units to a square no matter what Formation Fighter would allow.įor example, Triarii have a Formation Fighter value of 2. If any unit trying to fit in the square has Formation Fighter, you add the lowest Formation Fighter value of all the units involved two the default value of six. So you can fit six Size 1 units, three Size 2 units, two Size 3 units, a Size 4 unit and two Size 1 units, etc. Normally, units can share a square as long as all of the units in that square have a total Size of six or less. Right now when I see a unit with FF, I just do guess and check with a fresh game to see how much it actually increases their square density. No one seems to be suggesting I use the Ermor Triarii for example, so I'm guessing FF doesn't make up for them being old. Does it always increase the number by 1? Is there some more complicated math behind it? I understand that more units in a square means more attacks going into the enemy square, but how much do non-Mekone nations rely on their formation fighter units (if they have any). I know (and the whole Internet tells me) that formation fighter increases how many unit can fit in a square, but how much does it increase that number? The best I could find was this thread and unfortunately I just don't seem to understand where he gets the numbers for his math (what does he mean by "however many FF units fit into 6 spaces" for example? Isn't that exactly what I'm trying to figure out? So how would I already know it to solve the math?)įor example: with the size 4 Mekone giants FF doubles how many units would fit in one square from 1 to 2, but with size 2 EA-Ermor humans it only increases it from 3 to 4. ![]() So I'm sure this has been asked before but doing a search I couldn't find it in this reddit or in the internet as a whole. Nations with best sacreds overall: Any Mictlan (especially MA)īest sacred units (gold value): Flagellants (Any Marignon), Eagle Warriors (Any Mictlan, MA rec anywhere), Vanheres (EA Vanheim)Īlso, all of the monkey nations have a lot of sacred units, at least one of them recruit anywhere. So, favourite bless nations: MA Vanheim, Helheim I personally prefer nations that rely on their sacred units to carry their early game and transition into something else later (Vanheim, Helheim), but for sacred units only, I'd say MA Mictlan. MA Mictlan has recruit anywhere eagle warriors, which are IMO genuinely a better unit than Jaguars (EA and LA Mictlan has these in their secondary forts) and are generally really scary until you get a staff of storms online (which is never for most nations), but MA Mictlan has a harder time to get a blood economy going compared to the other ages (Mictlan has sacred blood summons).
